I wouldn't either, since in games they tend to be fully dependent on the GPU at that setting and won't hit the refresh limit no matter what the best GPUs can do. Or they're titles that even a 3600 will generate a lot of frames beyond the 144hz threshold. Remember, resolution only adds a bit more demand than 4k, and a 3090/6900XT usually won't reach 144fps in most games unless you're playing esports content.
