Hello, considering an upgrade from a Ryzen 3600 to a 5600X for 3840x1600 at 144hz gaming seems worthwhile. It might not be crucial for 4K but could make a difference for 1440p. I haven’t seen any benchmarks for 3840x1600 on YouTube, though your GPU is a strong one.

I wouldn't either, since in games they tend to be fully dependent on the GPU at that setting and won't hit the refresh limit no matter what the best GPUs can do. Or they're titles that even a 3600 will generate a lot of frames beyond the 144hz threshold. Remember, resolution only adds a bit more demand than 4k, and a 3090/6900XT usually won't reach 144fps in most games unless you're playing esports content.

You're probably encountering a CPU limitation in games like CS:GO or Rainbow 6, especially since you're already achieving around 144fps with your 6900xt and 3600. Upgrading isn't necessary unless you want better performance.
