I previously owned a 325a, but now I prefer the gladius. While I don’t mind the nose gatling, I appreciate the ship’s handling and appearance. I’ll stick with a gladius. It seems the 300 series lacks the cargo space the gladius offers, though that probably isn’t an issue for escort missions.
I don’t own the Gladius, but I picked it up during a free flight match. My impression was its handling, especially the acceleration—it felt a bit off at first, but in a positive way 😄. It also looks quite appealing. The drawback was that when it got damaged, it became very difficult to manage. Maybe I took some hits in a tricky spot, but it was tough to control then. As I said, I don’t have it, but that’s what stood out from my few attempts with it.
You're thinking about upgrading your Cutlass Blue to something more powerful, possibly a Super Hornet version. You're weighing whether the extra features justify the cost or if it's better to wait for a full release. Since the ship won't be finished soon and you intend to own both versions eventually, you're considering whether to upgrade now or hold off until everything is released.
Plus 1 @ drewjn The Super Hornet offers strong firepower yet lacks cargo space and a bed. Since it remains a close-range fighter, the Cutlass would likely be a more suitable choice for longer trips.
