Hello everyone! Welcome to the new year! I recently bought a Tp-Link C7 router, but I had a bad experience with their support. I ended up returning it and won’t buy from TP-LINK again. Now I’m searching for a better router that fits my needs.

Below are my requirements:
- I live in a townhouse with minimal visitors.
- Heavy internet use: remote work, international calls (Brazil, Europe, Costa Rica, US, Japan), online games (PUBG, etc.), and multiple devices.
- Current setup includes a DVR, alarm system, 3 mobile phones, and soon a 4K smart TV.
- Internet speed is 240MB connection.
- My existing Linksys is in Bridge mode; it’s old and struggles with many devices.
- I want a router that supports USB, MU-MIMO, and works well with DD-WRT.
- Stability and good manufacturer support are essential.

I’m open to suggestions! Please let me know what you recommend. Thank you!

I'm using an Archer AC1200 from TP Link with a USB port. It supports DDWRT, and I expect MU MIMO functionality, though I haven't delved deeply into the settings yet.

Just checked the comment again and realized I no longer support TP Link. Thanks for letting me know, I should avoid scrolling through posts now. I wish you luck in finding a router that suits you.

Sorry, it lacks MU-MIMO support. I'm also steering clear of purchasing TP-LINK. Thanks!

I own a Synology RT2600 AC. We have two Roku devices, two FireSticks, three smartphones, a desktop, a Chromebook, a Nintendo Switch, and a Nintendo Wii all linked through WiFi. From a wired perspective, my setup includes the desktop, NAS, Plex server, and HD Homerun. Everything functions well. The downsides? It isn't DDWRT compatible. Nice features. This router supports dual WAN and has 4G LTE via USB. It features one USB 3.0 port, a USB2.0 port, and an SD card reader.

MU-MIMO 2x2 at 160 MHz (continuous 80 + 80 MHz) and 2x2 at 80 + 80 MHz (non-contiguous). This configuration matches the IEEE 802.11 AC Wave 2 specification described later.
