Hello everyone, this is my first build in a while and I'm looking for guidance. I'm still eligible for returns on these items. Which one should I choose?

Current settings remain unchanged. Switching to an Asus model will use a 4x8GB configuration with a Ryzen 5 5600X. See the benchmark link for details.

I own the TUF recently purchased for $210 at MC, while the ROG model is likely available on eBay for around $160. I’m avoiding ASRock because of past issues with Steel Legend, though I’m open to Gigabyte or MSI. I’ve previously built with Asus and value their dependability.

Just remember that you might need to upgrade the BIOS to support the AGESA code for Zen 3 CPUs—such as with a 5600X processor. If your board was made before Zen 3, it includes BIOS flashback capabilities, allowing updates without installing a new CPU if required.

Thanks! The $50 gap makes choosing the TUF-X570 over the ROG-550-F worthwhile. I mainly picked it because the ROG-550-F was scarce—only two left.

Both boards are quite alike, and the TUF Pro doesn't really stand out over the Strix F. If you've already purchased it and are satisfied, you can keep using it without returning it—unless you prefer to return it for the Strix F and save the $50.

Running 4x8 that high is pretty tough. Maybe look at some dual rank B=Die if that's what you want.. In the end its up to the CPU.. Funnily enough my old 3600XT handled 4 sticks better than my 5600X does. B550-F may have a better memory topology then the X570. There is a fresh line of X570 that looks very interesting..
