We're discussing a dual WAN setup. Are you connecting two ISPs via separate cables, or are you looking for LTE failover using a device like a USB stick?

Are you sure the port forwarding is active and correctly set up?

A CAT cable connected to any ISP will function properly. It works with both your main provider and the LTE failover version, which is connected to a Netgear mobile router. You can use the CAT cable with your network device.

@Donut417 - not doubting you but even on their site, no mention of the failover WAN?

Many mid to high-end ASUS routers offer adjustable DUAL-WAN settings. Although I haven't used it, the ASUS GT-AC5300 does support this capability. If you're not aiming for extreme configurations, you could potentially locate a refurbished ASUS RT-AC5300 at a reasonable price. This would provide a solid Tri-Band router with DUAL-WAN functionality and some flexible custom ROM choices if desired. You might be able to find one around $190 USD. Personally, I don't consider that amount too high, especially since the ASUSWRT-Merlin forum still had active discussions about this model.

I’m planning to buy the Synology unit. Linksys contacted me and confirmed it’s due to a firmware issue, offering a full refund instead of a repair.

Update note: Received the Synology router, set it up, and after some time it’s functioning as expected. The quick failover test succeeded and the DDNS update worked too. We’ll monitor performance over the next month.
