You're looking for cost-effective options beyond the usual Corsair RAM. Focusing on budget-friendly choices, consider 2666C19 (d9wfr) or 3200C22 (d9xpf) in 16gbit revision B on generic bare PCBs. These parts let you order specific ICs directly, ensuring better quality and lower cost. Avoid generic 8GbRAM or similar low-end variants—they often compromise performance. Stick to 17-17-17 packages and steer clear of 17-24-24 or other non-standard dies. Brands like Corsair are problematic; aim for trusted alternatives such as Crucial or other reputable suppliers. If you need more capacity, a 4400 19-19-19 (Viper Steel) is affordable but check its specs against your needs. Keep in mind that higher-end options like 3200CL14 or 3600CL16 may offer better performance but at a higher price. Prioritize value over brand and avoid any parts with questionable reliability.
I’m not quite sure what you mean by “garbage.” Do you have any background in this kind of equipment or modern technology? It’s simple to tweak things from the side when you own them, but without experience, it’s hard to say they’re worthless.
Oh yeah I run them at 1900 1:1 normally. I normally run two pairs but my sons pc was having some issues with the shite Adata Gammix sticks I had in it. My 5600X is running 2K 1:1 stable, my 5900X is not stable after 1900 no matter what. And yes, that’s the farthest I have pushed the sticks. The last time I used over 1.6v was 2100 1:1 flat fourteens with my 5600X. And thanks
You've already adjusted the speed to 1.7v/1.75v, and the mixer is working fine. It looks like you're using a basic kit—no special setup needed.
I tested 1.8 for flat 12s. These sticks handle 3200 12-12-12-28 at just 1.45v, which was impressive. I thought a higher setting might help, but the board showed 1.85v. Maxmem could have made a difference.
The typical voltage required for the 3200 12-12-12-28 on a battery is around 14 volts.
Uncertain about the B-Die I own—it's my first batch of DDR4. I've been testing them together since my 3600XT My Black and White won't work with 1.45 or 1.55.
It seems you're curious about the potential of a 5000 cl16 board and whether it's realistic with a better setup. Let me break that down for you.
