I choose 2x16GB units – it provides space for future enhancements. 4x8GB offers limited benefits.

Usually you achieve better performance by using two sticks instead of four. That’s why I chose two.

Only advantage 4 sticks can have over 2 is that if the 2 sticks are single rank, there will be a slight performance improvement running 4 sticks, but I'd still personally prefer 2x16. More room for upgrading and usually more compatible overall.
