He older PC is no longer working and can't be salvaged. I'm planning to assemble a brand new system from scratch. Given his light gaming needs and office tasks, I'm considering a Ryzen 5 3400G and a B450 motherboard in Micro ATX. I'm unsure which one to choose for him. Could anyone suggest the top-rated B450 motherboards under $100, or other options at different price ranges?

Refers to model B450-I, priced above $100 though.

I really need a micro ATX since ITX boards tend to cost more than they should be.

I'm using it now with my 2700x, and it arrived fully prepared for the third generation Ryzen. It features four RAM slots, which is one of the reasons I chose it for a MATX setup.

I personally enjoy Asrock Pro 4 and Gaming for the value it offers.

Usually I don’t like Gigabyte motherboards much anymore, but the B450 Aorus M with my R5 1600 has worked perfectly ever since I put it in.
