I’m planning to refresh my components: CPU, RAM, PSU, and motherboard. The recommended parts are from PCPartPicker with the listed prices. I’ll also add the RGB Wraith Prism cooler and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. I want to confirm if this setup is suitable for my needs—whether I should consider a better CPU cooler, a different motherboard, or any other upgrades. My focus is on performance for gaming and streaming, but I’m also mindful of costs and potential savings.

What are the current specifications? Would you like to wait for Zen 3?

Hold on if you can, then wait for the next-gen Ryzen. If you need to upgrade immediately, it's a solid selection of components.

I have an AMD FX-6350 six-core chip with 6 threads running at 3.9 GHz. It comes with a Micro ATX/ATX power supply (though I’m not sure what type), an ASUS M5A78-M PLUS/USB3 motherboard, and four 4GB DDR3 1333 CL9 modules. My concern is how long I can wait before upgrading since my CPU is becoming slower with everything. Do you know roughly how long it would take to see noticeable improvements?

Updates are expected soon, likely in September or October. My best estimate is a few months from now.

September or October The 1050 won't slow down the 3700x, but a Bottleneck is a feeling that it's the weakest part of your PC. Besides that, I'd recommend checking out the b550 pro 4 or the Tomahawk Max, as they offer stronger power delivery than the Mortar.

For a smooth and reliable experience, especially with future games in mind, I’d suggest a mid-range GPU that balances performance and cost. If you’re aiming for consistent results without breaking the bank, a modern RTX 4060 or similar would work well. It should handle current titles smoothly while staying adaptable to upcoming releases.

I believe the Ryzen 4000 could face delays, so why not opt for the 3000 model? With those RAM modules and the motherboard, I’m really surprised it’s having issues. I think the voltage regulator might be overheating and the RAM isn’t as fast as it should be today.

It seems the device has a limited frame buffer, which could cause issues. You might want something like a 3070 or an 80, depending on your budget and upgrade plans.
