The temperature rise might be linked to the warmer environment. Consider lowering the overclock if the heat becomes a concern. Your current speed is 4.0 GHz, which is higher than the stock 3.5 GHz—adjusting may help stability.

The highest value achieved was 77, with every core operating at full capacity, which means it's not acceptable.

Gameplay temperatures have been high, and I've been running the PC for a while now. Not sure if it's harming the CPU.

Adjust for warmer conditions by reducing performance settings when ambient temperatures rise to manage CPU heat. Yes, lower the clock speed on hot days—thermal limits are real.

Considering the physics, a rise in ambient temperature by 1°C means your CPU temperature will also increase by about 1°C, with a minor adjustment due to higher resistance at elevated temperatures. If your CPU's safe limit is 65°C and the room temperature goes from 20°C to 25°C, the new safe limit would be around 70°C. Your readings seem within acceptable ranges.

The maximum temperature suggested is 75°C, which seems too high.

You can use various tools to modify CPU cooler fan speeds. Options include BIOS settings, thermal management software, or third-party apps that monitor and adjust fan performance based on temperature data.

Temperatures at rest offer little insight. Always run hwinfo instead of hwmon. Enjoy gaming and maintain monitoring or execute a stress test such as prime95.
