Hello! You're considering different options for your gaming build. The new Zen3 architecture Ryzen 4000 processors and a b550 motherboard are worth looking into, especially since you're planning a budget build. It might make sense to wait for the latest Ryzen 4000 models before committing. The b550 boards are also available, but their pricing could vary. Checking current prices for both the Ryzen 4000 series and b550 boards will help you see if they fit within your budget of around $200 USD.

It seems unlikely to find a new chip in that price range you're considering. Unless your budget gets bigger, it might be worth waiting.

In the worst case, the 3300X might become more affordable.

you'd have to wait a bit longer, since you were expecting a build two months ago. right now you're feeling a little eager, that's normal.

September is scheduled for launch. Global access expected by early October at the latest, according to my sources.

Could the delay be worth it even without a 4000 series Ryzen?

Given the delayed release of processors such as the 3100 and 3300X in AMD's Zen 2 series, it seems likely they could take several more months to arrive. I anticipate the most affordable Zen 3 chip at launch will be the R5 3600 replacement, which debuted at $199.

Use the moments wisely. The upcoming Ryzen 5 4600 should significantly boost performance compared to the current 3600.

They seem comparable in price to the B450 when it was released. If you can't afford it, it probably doesn't matter much. It really depends on how you define a "massive" purchase. I wouldn't expect it to be that extreme.
