Hello everyone, my setup includes an r7 5800x, a 32GB x570 with 3200MHz RAM, and a Bequiet 1000w PSU. I'm considering upgrading to the r7 7800x3d, MSI B650 Tomahawk, and 32GB 6000MHz RAM. Would it be beneficial?
If you aim for the best performance with your 4090, yes. This review shows an average of 10 games from Hardware Unboxed using a 4090 at 1440p. It runs a bit slower than newer CPUs in its 5800x frame rate, but the 7800X3D is faster than all here. If you can afford it, go for it—though the 5800X still delivers solid performance.
