I've managed to bring the big machine down to around 120 watts idle. The 20-watt setting appears to be from the second chipset, which matches your 100-watt configuration. I'd be frustrated if I had to rely on it all day in the summer and it made the room too hot. Right now I can only use my work laptop since everything else is locked down.
