I’m considering swapping and covering the difference for a 7900XTX, but I’m uncertain if upgrading my CPU or PSU would be necessary. Here’s what my current PC looks like.
P.S. ~ Gaming at 1440p

When not using 4K resolution, a CPU upgrade would be more beneficial.

xtx is really unnecessary at 1440p... it feels a bit excessive. It all comes down to the refresh rate, but a 7900xt should handle 144 with that CPU, and it works fine with my 5800x3d as well.

Ok cool, yeah I have the pc built already and the things a monster. I was also thinking of exchanging it for a 4070ti for DLSS and also RT but idk how the raster performance is compared to the 7900xt, only thing is, I’d be losing 8gb of vram lol

They perform similarly when looking at more than fifty games. RT works well with Nvidia, while AMD excels in raster tasks—AMD might edge out in some titles, suggesting Unreal 5 games could stay competitive moving forward. I’d stick with the 7900xt. The extra 8gb could be useful and is unlikely to be a problem soon.
