Parts Preferences: Asus or trusted alternatives
Overclocking Intent: Uncertain
SLI/Crossfire: Not applicable

Key Considerations: Excellent cooling, minimal concern over noise; RGB design isn’t a priority. Color matching isn’t essential. Focus remains on performance and reliability. No need for additional peripherals. Avoiding high-level competitive gaming sessions.
Ultimately, the main driver behind this upgrade is my current 2016 build running at 6700k and 1070 gtx.

You could wait a few days for the gpu. They’re expected to release new nvidia gpus. However, I noticed something that AMD is allegedly showing on the 15th. Don’t inquire about how reliable it is, but there’s a leak suggesting the rx 9070 is on par with an rtx 4080 super. The 9070 xt should be superior. Although AMD has stated they aren’t competing at the top tier, who knows for sure.

I’ve been using amd cards for several years and they have generally lagged in areas like ray tracing and upscaling, but rumors indicate those are the focus areas now. I own a 7900xtx and previously had an rx 6800xt, along with other models, and I’ve been satisfied with their performance. My 7900xtx is quite powerful—it can handle the new Indiana Jones game at over 100fps with full settings, except for ray tracing without upscaling. Personally, I believe in the past few years they’ve offered better value for money. With these new nvidia announcements, it will be quite intriguing to see what AMD delivers. I’m hoping they’ll provide strong value for their price.

I wasn't certain about the AMD choice for graphics because I heard they often face more problems with games and require updates for AMD. It makes sense if they have a smaller presence in the gaming market, with games built around NVIDIA technology. I just prefer something dependable and avoid getting caught up in RT features.

Nvidia tends to overcharge and misleads with numbers about DLSS 4 instead of actual performance. There was an incident with the 4090 cable while AMD is still catching up on higher-end graphics. I’m not very familiar with their software options compared to NVIDIA.

I’ll keep an eye on what happens soon with both brands, though.

I’d hold off until the updated cards are available and checked. If the MFG tech lives up to the claims, the 5070Ti would be secure.

I believe more information will emerge about the rdna4 cards on the 15th. I came across a rumor suggesting the 9070 non-xt is comparable to a 4080 super at least in black ops 6. I’m curious to see what they release. If they develop a 9070xt that can match a 5070ti for around 550, it could really be exciting.
