Hello everyone, I'm looking to purchase a laptop and was mainly focusing on the price range between 1800-2300€. I'm considering using it both for work and gaming. I had a few models in mind until I discovered this one that really caught my attention—it hasn't been released yet but will be coming soon:

Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 GU603ZW-K8092W
Link: https://www.plaisio.gr/gaming-zone/...9e...9795c8cd4c&qIx=products

Currently, I only found it at this specific shop, which is one of the largest in my country, making it a reliable choice. The price here goes up to 2900€. This is clearly a high-end model with a 12th gen i9 processor, DDR5 RAM, and an RTX 3070 Ti, features that will likely become standard in other laptops soon. My question is: do these advanced components make this laptop future-proof for the next 4-5 years? Should I consider going over my budget to get this one?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! The more powerful the laptop you get, the longer you can use it. Of course, this doesn't mean you should misuse it. If you take good care of your laptop, keep it cool, and maintain a healthy computing routine, it could last you 4 to 5 years, or even longer if you're very careful.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Yes, your answer is essentially a yes. Should I proceed without hesitation?
I’m usually very cautious with my devices and avoid overusing them, but I’d like a clear definition of what a "healthy computing habit" means to me.
Also, just a note—this is my first laptop purchase, so any general advice or tips on maintaining its health would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Thanasis. I also searched for a good and future-ready gaming setup. I compared the M16 with the Razerblade and Alien Ware, and in the end I chose the ROG M16 because of its excellent balance of strong hardware, durability, solid service, and design. It should also be quiet enough for office work and browsing, which is important to me. The technology is very current, such as the mux switch and cooling system.
For me, it’s almost the perfect machine, and I can’t wait to have it in my hands!
So I would really recommend purchasing it.
