I've been working on fixing a problem with my new PC that involves an ezdebug CPU indicator light. It turns on every time I power it up, blocking me from posting updates. After trying all possible fixes—from forums to videos and manuals—I still can't resolve it. I spoke with MSI's customer support, who recommended returning the item for inspection. However, I'm worried the motherboard might have been damaged during handling, which could cost me money. Since I purchased it on the 13th, I'm still eligible for returns under Amazon's policy. I also plan to return my PSU and consider upgrading it, in case that's the root cause. Should I send the motherboard back to Amazon for a replacement or a new board, or should I go ahead with MSI's return process to see if they can help?
If the return period is open for Amazon, I’d check them out. MSI’s RMA team, plus the majority of other motherboard makers, tend to be difficult to contact, so sending it back to Amazon usually results in a quicker and smoother replacement.
If a retailer is available, choose that option. RMAs can be challenging, particularly if you're far from the brand's distributor or encounter poor customer support.
