Hey everyone, I placed an order for a 32Gigs Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200 MHz C16 because the stock version from Kingston HyperX wasn’t available. I canceled the HyperX but there was a mix-up at the supplier, so they still sent it—just a bit delayed. I’ve already installed two 8GB modules in slots 2 and 4. I also have the original HyperX units on hand. I’ve heard that choosing 64GB over 32GB doesn’t really matter much, but I’m not really in a rush to get a refund. If nothing changes, I might consider giving it another shot. Also, since slots 1 and 3 tend to be slower, and the parts are different SKUs, that could be a problem. My main use is gaming and some video editing, so what do you think? My other specs include an MSI B450-A PRO MAX, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT, and 8GB RAM.
If you're not doing anything, avoid heavy RAM users like browsing Reddit. Otherwise, only use what fits your available memory.
You're experiencing limited RAM usage on your Windows system, with only a few megabytes available for active processes. Increasing to 64GB might not provide significant benefits and could be unnecessary. It's safe, but won't substantially improve performance.
