I've been experiencing stuttering in games such as PUBG, Squad, Post Scriptum, and Insurgency. My system specs are: -i7 8700k (not overclocked yet) -Z370-H Asus -16GB 2400MHz -GTX 980 Ti (overclocked to 1450MHz) -EVGA 750W PSU I recently switched platforms from a Ryzen 5 1600 which was lagging in Unreal Engine and games. Should I reset Windows while keeping all my files, or should I clear everything?

I would simply verify the external backup and clear the storage. It’s better to begin anew.

That model experiences problems with both high and low voltages, so avoid pushing it too far up the clock speed.

While we were gaming Arma 3 together, he kept freezing, and when I asked what he’d done before, he told me he changed it to 1.600mhz (NANI!). The same happened in CS:GO—he achieved around 100fps instead of the usual 300fps.

It seems strange since I didn’t enable an overclock after switching to the 8700k. Everything looks normal but keeps stuttering.

Have you performed a clean installation of Windows? It’s recommended after replacing motherboards. https://www.howtogeek.com/224342/how-to-...indows-10/

Sure, I’ll handle it this way. Should I save my files or clear everything? I’m not concerned about the files.

During the partition step, remove every partition until only "unallocated space" remains. This action will erase all data. If you have multiple drives, you can move any files you wish to retain to other drives. Ensure all drives except the operating system drive are disconnected before a clean install. You may also transfer desired files to USB drives or cloud services like Google Drive.

It's suggested to reinstall Windows during a transition to a fresh system, as this helps remove unnecessary software and prevents driver issues.
