Consider replacing the RAM module.
Hey there, I just changed my RAM from 16 GB 4400 MHz to 32 GB 3600 MHz. I thought a Ryzen 5 3600x with a Gigabyte Gaming X would work. Last year I made the same mistake by installing 4400 MHz RAM, thinking the CPU could handle it. I assumed the 3600 MHz was the max speed and bought it hoping to upgrade later without checking specs. Now I’m trying to overclock with XMP, but the PC only booted three times before shutting down. Am I misunderstanding? Should I try a different setup or consider replacing the RAM? Thanks!
I've tried adjusting the voltage and speed myself. My setup includes a Corsair Vengeance 2x8 GB 3000MHz system with a Ryzen 3 2200G. I manually set the voltage to 1.35V because it wasn't applying it automatically (it kept at 1.2V).
You're unsure about the 3600 setting, but you can try 3200 and see how it performs for stability.
