I'm checking out my Dell XPS 9000 running an i7-920. It feels a bit slow now, so I'm searching for quicker CPUs that fit my LGA 1366 board. I want something faster than the current model and ideally under $200.

The fastest option is the 990x extreme edition, though it comes with a high price. Check out this page. It might be worth considering an updated CPU instead.

With $200 you can get a second to fourth generation Intel i7 and a used motherboard. The first generation i7 is quite slow, so it's time to upgrade. Check this out: CPU, motherboard + 16GB RAM for $150 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000525716434.html
