Hello everyone, I need some advice on choosing a firewall for my home with multiple devices connected. I’m new to this topic and would appreciate any guidance. I’m looking for something user-friendly with clear installation instructions and setup tutorials. Since I can’t purchase video boards, I want to focus on network security instead. My budget is around 48 thousand Argentine pesos. I plan to buy from the online store at https://www.mercadolibre.com.ar. Thank you in advance for your help! Best regards.

You don't require a separate firewall device; most routers already provide this feature.

I understand your situation with the TP link, APX11000, MikroTik HAP Lite, and your home modem. None of these firewalls seem to work for you, so I made this topic to help others in a similar case. Thank you for sharing! Best regards.

It serves as a barrier to shield against threats, not a one-size-fits-all fix for all problems.

If you're looking for something beyond the standard options, opt for a generic sound barrier instead.

The item you're referring to is available on Mercadolibre, specifically for a firewall product. It's highlighted as something worth investing in due to its value and the high cost of alternatives.

A firewall offers little value for everyday home users. You don’t need to invest in special dedicated firewalls, as most affordable options are just regular routers with built-in security features. Essentially, everything available online is essentially the same basic setup.

Fortinet is widely recognized for its weak quality assurance and inadequate software handling. It’s best to steer clear of it. What exactly do you require a firewall for? I can’t suggest anything here. For most home users, the standard built-in options are sufficient. What’s the issue with your current setup if you’re not fully satisfied? What changes would be necessary to make you more convinced?
