So, my current old CPU (i5-3470) is starting to show its age and I'm planing to replace it anytime soon. I'm mainly using my PC for video editing, gaming, and probably livestreaming in the future. The thing is, my budget is pretty limited and I desperately need help from you guys to decide. In my country (Indonesia), Ryzen 5 2600 is priced around $120 while the 3600 still sits around $200 (80 dollars, here in where I live, is like 4 weeks worth of food). Should I just go for Ryzen 5 2600? Or should I wait and hope that the 3600 will drop its price significantly when the new Ryzen 5 is released . Moreover, is the jump of performance worth the wait?
Create an alert for the 3600 and 3600x on Newegg. You mentioned they were around $170 per week recently, especially for the Zen 2 models.
Thank you for the reply. The fact is, I'm based in Indonesia, and Newegg international delivery isn't offered there.
Wow, I noticed that directly below your name—apologies for that. Hope your search goes well, and you might spot some great offers when the Zen 2 update arrives.
