Hey there, I just found a TEAMGROUP T-FORCE Dark ZA 32GB KIT (2x16GB) DDR4 3600MHZ memory (TDZAD432G3600HC18JDC01) for just $35 USD at my local shop. I was thinking about upgrading my PC RAM from 16GB to 32GB for work-related tasks, but I was unsure if it would fit with my current motherboard and CPU. I often see mixed info online—like "RAM is RAM," "voltage compatibility," or "motherboard limitations." After checking the MSI website, it says this model works with my current MBO but only in single or dual-channel configurations up to 16GB DDR4 3600MHZ. What do you think? Should I go ahead and buy it or skip it? My specs are: CPU - AMD R7 5700X, Motherboard - B450M, and I’m not very tech-savvy about compatibility issues. The key factor showing compatibility is the QVL. Because you confirmed the RAM is listed there, you're likely in a good position to get it working properly.

When RAM is nearly depleted, purchase more immediately. Disable XMP settings, power down the system, connect the new modules, activate XMP at 3600MHz, and it should function properly.

If you require more RAM, it's fine to purchase it and test it out. You can retain your 16GB unit as a backup, ensuring the 32GB model functions properly before deciding to upgrade.

Thanks for the reminder. I realized I still have XMP enabled for my current RAM. Cheers!

You just have to do the best you can, since there's never a 100% guarantee your new RAM will work. Even RAM on the QVL can change the memory chips between versions and end up being problematic.

Just the same icons with various heatspreaders. At 35 dollars new it's a solid offer. If the XMP fails, just toss it away—this isn't much different from any other generic XMP stick.
