For players who have enjoyed a lot of BFV, what do you think about the multiplayer aspect? I'm asking about the game's design itself—not just the graphics. Should I suggest it right now, or wait until things get better? Looking forward to your thoughts. Thanks!
I’m not a statistics major, but I have to say: if this matters, don’t include it in the comment. Please choose an option in the poll—“I haven’t played the game and can’t give advice”—so people can see the question first. We should cover all choices in the poll. Most Twitter polls fall short because they don’t follow this rule.
I spent the whole night gaming and really enjoyed it...if you enjoy BF1, you'll appreciate BF5 too.
Started playing multiplayer right away and have already reached the end. Experienced every feature, achieved top scores consistently, unlocked all desired content. From a technical standpoint, the multiplayer mode is quite flawed at the moment. Issues like glitches, seeing through walls, and being harmed by physics during jumps are real. Level design problems such as disappearing staircases or faulty collisions causing falls are common. Vehicles often malfunction when driving over uneven terrain. Besides the bugs, weapon balance feels unbalanced, with some firearms being too strong or weak. Air support remains underwhelming. I usually secure over 60 kills per match, especially when using bombers to overwhelm opponents. It's even more powerful than helicopters in BF4. The game really needs a sniper limit. I've witnessed half my team wasting the round because they were stuck as ineffective 'leet scout' snipers. Still, it's playable if the issues are resolved. I plan to try again next month, hoping DICE addresses these problems.
I didn’t spend much time with it, but I played it late with a friend (on his Xbox) though I’m not too impressed. There are plenty of bugs—explosives sometimes fail to trigger, and sounds often don’t work. There are quite a few audio issues, and even though we used his TV speakers (since he hasn’t got a proper console), I noticed tanks were on the wrong side. Some players say weapons sound wrong, making them seem closer or farther than they are. Once I died in the bleed-out, I thought the menu didn’t recognize me, so I couldn’t get back in. It was frustrating. Many people are right about how annoying it is to die suddenly. The game feels slow when you try to change your loadout, and the skill tree system is confusing. I found it frustrating that weapons are tied to skill trees, making it hard to switch easily. The unlock system and weapon choices seem arbitrary. I didn’t really grasp why people complained about the death time, until I tried it myself. Now it’s even harder to adjust your gear, and the changes aren’t very meaningful. The weapons feel like they’re just upgraded versions, which reminds me of Call of Duty. I also noticed the rewards like V1 rockets and killstreaks feel more like gimmicks than real progression. It seems to work mainly for squad leaders, and the aim system is slow. The maps look pretty generic, and enemies blend in well. Customization is a pain—sniper rifles now look like heavy machine guns with ammo belts and crates. It’s hard to tell different classes, especially when they wear the same gear. The constant shouting is irritating, and I don’t see much fun left. The only positives are the improved aiming accuracy, which makes shooting easier at range. Other aspects I dislike include the lack of engaging activities and the confusing weapon system. Personally, I’d prefer a simpler gun if I could.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Your comments align well with what I expected, and it’s disappointing. I’ve played every BF game from the start, except for BF 2142 and Hardline, and have enjoyed them. However, they often feel rough at first before improving. I’m hoping they’ll heed the feedback and steer the project in a better direction. Speaking of Battlefield 4, I recently got an email from EA asking me to complete a short survey about the game. They’re likely seeking ways to enhance it, and maybe we’ll see a more polished version soon. Who knows what the future holds?
A refreshed version of BF4 would be interesting. The only titles I can spare are the newer ones. I've tried the older ones, but never worked on 2142 either. The collapse of Hardline was a major letdown since they really improved the game, making it smooth and responsive. By the end, everyone had already moved on. Although things might start off rough for some, there are still odd bugs that weren't there before. Still, jumping over obstacles remains a challenge, and I haven't resolved that issue in six years. Could BFV be worth it? I'm not sure. A big question I have (similar to BF1) is why a WWII setting was chosen if the game isn't meant to feel like one. BF1 included real WWII elements, but they were limited and outdated. I'm not even certain about BFV's approach. The uniforms don't offer much customization, let alone the level it currently has. WWII uniforms were very uniform, which makes sense. I just recalled another point—I didn't play all the maps, but none of them focus too much on vehicles. Maps like Golmud or Caspian seem more about vehicles than anything else. It feels like you're forced to pick between a tank or a medium tank, but vehicles seem underrepresented. Why not always choose the heavier, more powerful ones?
