If you're not familiar with FPS, you'll find it challenging and might not enjoy it. It differs from battlefield and cod, offering a more competitive experience with less realism. You should focus on gameplay since the graphics aren't top-notch. For those wanting to try FPS for the first time just for fun, I suggest Battlefield. In CS:GO, aiming down sight isn't possible, which can be frustrating for most bf/cod players and contributes to a steep learning curve. Despite this, I enjoy the game and would recommend it if you're into competitive play.

The option stands out most when you're focusing on "pure FPS gameplay." It's quite simple yet provides a wide variety of weapons and vehicles.

You didn't notice silver since you were focusing on teammates above it. I'm currently Gold Nova Master—though I was demoted after getting hacked. My partner who got promoted from MG1 helped me reach gold nova master, winning about 15 games and staying at the same rank. His accuracy isn't great, so he should cut back on chasing ranks. The other friend moved to Nova 2, which isn't ideal because being promoted to a higher rank than you can lead to tough losses against lower-tier players.

Because MGS works well? Well, most things below dmg/eagle are pretty similar, except for silvers.

I never competed with ranked players. Everyone in my group started together in CSGO, all unranked, and we tackled each match as a team, winning ten but losing many too. We never played anyone from my list who are LEM or DMG. Now that we're ranked, we face those players. The Nova 4 is what I earned on my own, while my friends all had Nova 4 or Nova 3. At first we dominated our early games until we faced a tough losing streak for two weeks against just DMG and LEM. After that we played against mg2s and mg's. Eventually we secured enough victories over them and Nova 4 to climb the ranks. If I truly wanted a rank, I’d have had my LEM friends boost me up to damage or more, but that’s not realistic—it wasn’t something I’d achieve alone through teamwork.

Mgs aren't great. And if it's a smurf, then it's not an mg.

That's odd... I haven't really enjoyed big multiplayer shooters, but maybe Cod thinks they're more authentic than CS?

Perhaps... I enjoyed the classic titles a lot when the world was still in WW2, like Call of Duty 2. I stopped after modern warfare 1. Nowadays, with the newest games, everyone seems to be running around on jetpacks and constantly fighting each other. You get respawned in seconds and start again. I really don’t like that—it doesn’t create the sense of wanting to stay alive. Also, dying feels meaningless compared to CS:GO where outcomes matter. I only appreciate games or modes where you can’t respawn, which is why I enjoy CS:GO and Call of Duty 2 destruction/bomb planting.
