I'm planning a new gaming PC and think I don't need the X570 since I only want minor upgrades for better FPS. I also don’t need PCIe 4, as I’m mainly a gamer and just starting 3D modeling for my CR10 printer. My question is whether the B450 will slow things down and if it’s worth the investment.

If you're not experiencing it, it should be okay.

I noticed the exact motherboard you're interested in—no flashback support needed, and it doesn't come with a second-generation CPU.

Consider an MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX with gaming plus MAX or A-PRO MAX. They come with the 3000 series built-in and strong VRMs, making it easy to upgrade to a 3700X without issues.
