I just visit the seller and check it out personally. I don’t notice many CPUs failing, so everything seems okay. However, you also recommend staying on AM5. For the GPU side, if I sell a 4090, I’d probably go with a 3060 or something similar. Also, parts here are pricier.

Consider checking the 4060 or 5070 models first. I don't believe the 3060 will last long. Right now it looks like just a $30 variation on Amazon after shipping costs, which felt straightforward but if the gap is significant enough, opt for the 7600.

The price of 7500f seems quite low when compared to 7600, with a noticeable gap in value.

It's basically a 7600 model lacking built-in graphics support.

Honestly, I’ll stick with the current setup and wait a decade. If it’s mainly about downgrading, sell the CPU and GPU. Then upgrade to something like a B580 for better performance at a reasonable price, while keeping the 7600 unchanged since you won’t get much value from it. I’d prefer to keep things as they are for another year or so to gauge your true feelings, but then move on to what you really want.

AM5 offers a superior option. If needed, finding replacement CPUs will be simpler, and support will be stronger in the future. The 3060 is merely a very low-end model, so I recommend against it. For the best budget-friendly picks, consider the B580 (if you choose AM5) or the RX 7600 XT.

resell the 4090 its probably still worth 1000$+ considering the dissapointment that is the 5080 not to mention scalping on it and the 5090 s o yeah do that now before pricing on the 5000 series drops and the 4090 loses its value as for gpu replacement used 6800xt/3080 are around 350$ and are still pretty competent 1440p cards though if you are fine with being gpuless for quite some time you can wait for the b770/9060 if you want it new, performance will probably be similar or abit worse (maybe 7700xt class) but pricing will likely be similar and they are brand new cards heres how they stack up perf wise (b580 = 6700xt/4060ti)

In my view, it's best to retain what you have now—it will remain useful for a long time. I typically rely on my hardware until it meets my requirements, and if needed, it can evolve to accommodate future needs.
