Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 equipped with a Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. However, I found that the performance doesn’t meet my expectations for such a device.
The main issue is that opening folders, windows, and frequently used programs feels somewhat sluggish. There’s always a minor delay that isn’t typical for this system. Additionally, I’ve noticed the touchpad sometimes fails to register clicks, particularly when I use the left-click gesture without pressing the physical buttons. I often have to retry or switch to the physical controls.
Should I consider returning the laptop, or are there any solutions to address these problems?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! You may wish to check if your laptop requires any BIOS updates. Use the support page and provide your laptop's serial number to access a tailored page for your device. Should the BIOS update not resolve the issue, verify whether your operating system is awaiting an update. If that doesn't assist, consider reinstalling the chipset drivers.

If none of these steps work, you might attempt to reinstall the OS by recreating the bootable USB installer for offline installation. Regarding the operating systems, which one are you using? Windows 11?
