I am using a QX9650 that was overclocked to 3.5GHz @ 1.21Vcore. After installing a new motherboard, I increased it to 4GHz @ 1.296Vcore. With a Hyper TX3 and Arctic Cooling F9's Push/Pull cooling using Noctua paste, it operates around 1.4Vcore. For a 1.35Vcore setup, you should target a GHz range accordingly.
Law of diminishing returns, once you go further, the benefit decreases.
41 sounds correct... perhaps 42 is a bit nearer to the 1.4 mark. Just monitor the temperatures to stay under mid 80s during gaming and pushing.
