Hello, I'm checking if upgrading to a Z390 motherboard makes sense for your current build. Your RAM is capped at 2666MHz, and you're unsure if your CPU might be limited by the chipset as well. Right now you have an i7-9700K processor, Gigabyte H370 Aorus Gaming, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, a GTX 1070 Ti, and a Corsair H60 cooler keeping temps around 50-60% during gaming. You're using Windows 10 Pro and mostly play games, which keeps CPU temps under 60°C. You're not planning heavy overclocking, but you're curious about the Z390 specs—can it really push your RAM to 3200MHz and maybe boost CPU speeds? I've seen reviews suggesting the Z390 supports higher RAM speeds safely. If you're considering the Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro, it's a solid option for gaming builds. Let me know if you want more details or tips!

The key advantages of using Z390 are its memory speed and the option to overclock your CPU. Raising RAM from 2666Mhz to 3200Mhz can indeed enhance performance for specific tasks, though results vary by use case. This video demonstrates how various applications behave at different speeds: in short, only certain programs notice a difference, but for those that do, especially lower FPS games, you'll typically see improvement (such as reduced stuttering).

Plan ahead and act before the new generation releases. Purchasing outdated intro gear usually increases costs until it becomes nearly impossible to use.
