Consider improving this year.
Hey! Nice to hear from you. I'm a bit of a long-time observer too. Your current setup is solid—i9 10850K with RTX3080 and 32GB DDR4. You're thinking about building a mini-ITX with the Tera case, and that's smart.
For the CPU choice, I’d lean toward an i7-1400K if you're not rushing. It gives you a nice balance between performance and power efficiency, especially with the upcoming 15th-gen chips. If you're okay waiting, the 14th-gen Terra case without a GPU is doable for around 1100W.
Since you're eyeing an ultrawide monitor, it’ll definitely add some extra load. But don’t stress too much—your current specs are great for the build. Just keep an eye on the market and maybe revisit your plans once you get that Ali Enware OLED.
What do you think? Thanks for the advice! 😊
Is this system not doing what you need? You have a really, really, good system. I would focus on other things like that monitor you want to get, and other peripherals to make life and multitasking easier.
I wouldn't upgrade my PC if it matched those specifications. I'd stick with it for several more years first.
For the coming years, it's sufficient as long as your PC fulfills your requirements; upgrading isn't necessary if it works, and you can always choose to upgrade later.
