Hello! For a noticeable boost, consider upgrading to an AMD build using AM5 socket. If you prefer Intel, a newer 12th or 13th generation chipset would help. Your current setup is solid, but these changes should enhance performance significantly.

What graphics card are you using? Are you happy with your current PC setup? Could you share your budget, along with your intended use and location?

You currently own a 4070 and intend to upgrade to a 4080. Your setup is a BeQuiet Pure Base 600 with a 750W power supply. You reside in Italy and are moderately happy with the performance but want better. You use gaming, video editing, and photo editing.

from OP's sig, a 4070. Honestly that PC is straight up mint. If you wanna see slight performance increase in games you can plop in 5800X3D for practically free considering 5900X resale value, but thats it. If youre satisfied now you dont need to consume. Whats your target in "more" here? Some games are just really poorly optimized currently or ever that they never fully take new parts performance.

The main issue is they only do some editing and intend to upgrade to a 4080. A 5900x won’t be enough. I wouldn’t upgrade it unless told otherwise by Claire, especially since the system is essentially brand new.
