I'm also struggling with the Linux version—it seems uncommon. I discovered a digital download for the Linux ISO, so I'll check if that link is still valid and then consider purchasing it. The packaging looks great, so I might opt for a physical copy of the Windows version instead. Edit: located the Linux expansion for $170 on CDN; I'll skip that option.

I thought the tale on 4 was much stronger, though the visuals and modding were disappointing.

Wolfenstein: The New Order really stands out with its visuals and narrative. The sequel, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, works well but falls short of the first installment. Give them a shot—they’re affordable on G2A Big Grin

Got it. Sounds like you're planning something cool. It seems like you're thinking about a fun idea. What do you think about the vikings?

Here are some titles that might interest you: Dishonored, Company of Heroes, Defense Grid, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Sins of a Solar Empire, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Stalker, World in Conflict, Supreme Commander, Limbo. These are budget-friendly, older games that still work well and offer solid gameplay. If you're new to shooters, Ghost Recon: AW & FEAR are great options to explore.

Gothic 1 and Gothic 2 are excellent choices, especially with the Night of the Raven expansion. These single-player RPGs offer immersive, vibrant worlds that feel fresh and engaging. The storytelling is top-notch, with environments that are thoughtfully designed and every location unique. Quests are well-crafted, offering varied solutions that avoid feeling forced or contrived.
