Hey everyone, I just finished setting up my PC. Everything seems to be working fine so far. Right now I’m sticking with the default settings and using MCE with Auto and XMP Profile 1. In games it runs smoothly enough, especially in Doom where it barely heats up. Cinebench shows a solid performance, reaching around 80°C. My CPU cooler fans even reached maximum speed, around 1.35V, while all clocks stayed steady at 4.9 GHz. It consumed about 220W. I thought I’d let it sit and see how it performs, but even when installing games via Steam (downloading wasn’t an option), the CPU temperature jumped to 60°C and sometimes hit 1.3 to 1.4V. I’m using an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 3600mm with Fractal Design Meshify 2, and the airflow is decent enough for the cooler to handle. I’ve applied a bit more thermal paste than usual. It seems the CPU itself might be the issue—maybe it’s running too hot despite the cooling setup. My room stays quite warm, usually between 30°C to 33°C on the hottest days. There’s no air conditioning available. I was wondering if there’s a better way to configure MCE?
Cinebench generates a significant amount of heat, which is typical, and the 10900K indicates a powerful processor. Steam CPU temperatures are also within normal ranges—downloading games involves more than just data transfer, as you're also decompressing files. Everything appears to be functioning correctly.
This situation is really unsettling. I recently upgraded from my 1700X to 10900K, intending to reach 5900X thanks to the stock problem. It's great that I landed a 10900K at the MSRP! 5900X was priced around $800 USD there... not exaggerating. Seeking guidance on adjusting MCE if I decide to use it. There are many settings related to this, and I'm using a Maximus XIII board.
I don’t understand much. You own a Strix B350-F and a Ryzen 5 3600, and so far you’ve only adjusted your RAM to 3333 from 3200. @ShrimpBrime might have some insights.

I addressed the PM and noted my response here. If you can manage the fan noise, keep MCE on. Otherwise, turn it off. The 10900K is inherently a hot component. 100°C is the throttle temperature setting. Not reaching this will mean no issues to worry about.
