I chose to hold off until the price drops or it drops below $9.99. I’m okay waiting.
Lost all enthusiasm because of the DLC fluff. Paying the regular price means getting the whole game, but splitting a season pass seems unreasonable. I might consider buying it later in a full edition during a Steam sale. However, I’m unsure if a true complete version will ever exist since it’s 2K (Borderlands...). Who knows the future player base? Without the DLC distractions, I would have gone ahead with it.
The game aims to generate revenue through additional content, with discussions about DLC starting long before its release. Their claims about the value seem questionable. Let's examine it: two monster DLCs at $15 each, four hunters purchasable with the season pass for $24. That totals $54 for monsters and hunters, versus the base game's $60 for 12 hunters and 3 monsters. Adding upcoming DLC doesn't change the impression. Overall, this feels unreasonable and overly focused on selling cosmetic items. I don't see a strong justification for the pricing or exclusivity strategy.
