He has a high-end build with lots of RAM usage for games and browsers. I think DDR4 offers better value compared to DDR5. Since you're in the UK, prices should be reasonable. A budget of £60-100 would work well, and you can always add more if needed. Happy Christmas!

It wasn't possible to utilize DDR5 RAM because your system needs DDR5 support. You have two options: either purchase the same hardware he currently uses to increase his memory capacity, or acquire a more advanced and faster model. (can be detailed extensively)

These options appear to be solid choices. Comparing them side by side seems fair, and I’d likely pick the first based on clock speed.

They’re standard DDR4-3600 CL18 modules; choose the most affordable option. A 4000MHz clock speed won’t work on a 3900X.

I’d choose a few quality 3600 C14 rods.

Price limits aren't reaching what I need, seems unlikely. These options look decent. Would it help if I checked alternatives? Yes, buying two and combining them could give the storage you want.

Secure your purchase of the 3200C14 now, it's the best RAM available.

Consider the price and capacity before deciding. The 8GB flare seems more affordable, while the 16GB Trident offers higher storage but at a higher cost.

I'd choose the tridents first, otherwise we'll need the flares.
