There are no available kits for 2x64gb configurations. The highest supported density is 48gb sticks, which is sufficient for the situation I understand. This setup still works, though it won’t match the performance of modern airflow cases. Also, compatibility with card lengths needs consideration—we don’t know the exact length of a 5090, but based on 330mm or longer 4090s, this case might be too short. Maximum video card length is 300 mm / 11.811" with drive cages, and 355 mm / 13.976" without them.

GPUs expanding to such an extent that they render older, outdated cases as perfect options.

Thanks for your question.
For the Ram, would it be feasible to purchase two 96GB RAM sticks of the same brand to reach a total of 192GB?
If you choose the 4060 TI and add the 5090 alongside it, could you still fit multiple GPUs in the system?
Also, do you have a 1080Ti model? And what about the case—should I go for a full tower or keep it as a tower to ensure the 5000 fits properly?

RAM is sold in kits since the modules are confirmed to function together. The motherboard must also accommodate the memory density. I’m not certain any AMD boards specifically support 192gb, though someone might confirm that.

You can simply include the 5090, but make sure you choose the right card for your needs. Using it will reduce cooling efficiency because another component blocks the fan vents. Every PC part picker listing indicates the supported GPU length—aim for around 360mm without modifying the case.

There seems to be an XL version of the Fractal North case that supports very long graphics cards.

So! What do you think about getting the 9950x? It has 16 cores—any ideas on what would suit your 3D CG work best?

The 9800X3D is a gaming chip that can handle various functions, but using it would mean giving up significant power compared to the 9950X. I think the 9950X remains the clear best option.

Ideally Ryzen 9 99500X3D gonna be the Best choice. Wait for it. 1.5months away. And even RTX5090 be announced at the same time if not sooner.
Both of those gonna be EXTREMELY Huge improvement over what we currently have. Absolutely be worth the wait.
