Hello, I’m seeking recommendations for a motherboard that fits your setup. You’re looking for something with NVMe support, DDR5 RAM compatibility, USB 3.0 Gen 2, and at least one PCIe 5.0 slot. It should also work well with your Ryzen 5 7600 and 4060 Ti graphics card. I’m not concerned about aesthetics—just functionality. A slot under $200 would be fine, but I’m open to spending up to $250 if needed.

Generally all slots except PCIe 5.0 are available on every AM5 board, making them normal options. A B650M-HDV/M.2 would fit perfectly. Regarding the PCIe 5.0 port, its impact is limited since GPUs still cap at PCIe Gen 4 (the 4090 only reaches Gen 3). You’ll likely need a CPU or motherboard upgrade around five years from now, after which it will become more relevant. If you meant the M.2 slot for Gen 5 rather than the GPU port, that’s a standard AM5 feature and every board includes at least one of them.

NVMe and DDR5 are standard options on all AM5 boards. The need for a single PCIe Gen5 port is what raises the price, unless you're working with a budget model. The most affordable board with a Gen5 slot would be an Asrock B650E PG Riptide around $240. This adds a significant cost for a technology that isn't widely utilized right now. Thanks for your explanation. I understand PCIe 5.0 for the GPU port isn't an issue at the moment.

Take a look at this video! He pushed his performance to beastmode and tried 35 B650 motherboards. You might spot something here that fits what he approved. Personally, I go with the TUF B650 WIFI PLUS and have used it in 20 projects so far without any problems.

I personally, Asrock has become a brand I really appreciate. The boards I've purchased recently (three different ones) are all quite good, particularly the packaging. As someone who's had bad experiences with Asus—four motherboards in under a year, some even just a month apart—I won't buy another Asus board. MSI has had similar issues too, mostly from 2015 to 2020, and they've performed just as poorly as Asus in terms of quality and warranty support. It took me more than two months to get the last board I owned returned via RMA, because they kept sending back a faulty one. Eventually, the board would have stayed with me if I’d contacted them and insisted on keeping it. The replacement worked, but after updating the BIOS, the second time around it failed. For Asrock boards, I’m currently using the X670E Pro RS, which is excellent. The X650E version should also be fine if you're looking to save a bit of money.
