The article discusses PIA being acquired by a large corporation, raising concerns about whether they’ll maintain the same privacy standards. I’m considering switching VPN services and have identified three strong contenders. BlackVPN is a Hong Kong-based firm known for robust security, no tracking, and unrestricted P2P/bittorrent on certain servers. This was my initial choice but I worry about China’s potential influence over Hong Kong and the impact on VPN providers. Doublehop operates from Seychelles, offering comparable security features, though it doesn’t mention LEAK PROTECTION 1st Party DNS like BlackVPN. Overall, all three seem viable. Anyone have insights or personal experience with these options? SecureVPN.to is mentioned briefly; I’m not familiar with it but they appear to provide solid privacy. If you know anything about it, please share your thoughts.

I've tried Proton VPN and Kaspersky VPN, both perform well. I wouldn't rely on either, even with their claims.

I don’t need time to wait while there are better choices ahead due to the Black Friday deals.

I was also considering Proton. I’ve used their email service and found it really great, so I think they’ll appreciate a solid VPN as well. Appreciate your support for Proton!
