I've been using blue Iris for several years without any problems until this summer. The two issues I've encountered seem uncommon, so I haven't found many others experiencing them. Initially, the support was excellent, with quick responses and easy problem resolution. I hadn't needed to reach out much before, but now it appears the help line is inactive. The first email didn't work and the second one received no replies, though they still release updates. It's not ideal. Now that those are resolved, I'm interested in what better alternatives exist for my security cameras. I'm sure newer options are available since I started with blue Iris, so I'm seeking recommendations for a fresh software solution.
Blue iris files, includes separate motion capture, plus face tracking and license plate recognition options. You’re mainly after basic recording with motion detection.
They handled it for the initial period, but after that it just vanished. I’ll hold off for another week or two before checking again.
