Consider alternatives if your graphics card isn't working.
Consider alternatives if your graphics card isn't working.
I woke up this morning to discover my PC wasn’t working and spent some time trying to fix it. I noticed the EVGA 3060 (bought on FB Marketplace about a year and a half ago) would hesitate after turning on the machine. (Capacitor issue?) The fans were spinning, but I swapped it with a graphics card from my brother’s PC—no problems there. I’ve also used the 3060 in his system, but it didn’t display video. Since I have no integrated graphics and it worked perfectly last night, this was unexpected. I’m unsure what to do next, but I’m hoping for advice. I can’t afford to spend money on a replacement yet. The card is still under warranty, though EVGA says it’s only for original buyers. Anyone have suggestions?
You need the proof of purchase, like a receipt, to confirm you bought it. If you can't find it, DIY might be your best option. Good luck!
If the card is covered under warranty, I’d consider filing a claim. Be honest with EVGA—just keep the receipt private unless they request it. Avoid sharing purchase details unless necessary. If they refuse to honor the warranty without proof, your chances may be limited, but it’s worth trying.
