Hello. I completed my initial setup and missed checking Bluetooth and WiFi connections. I received a rosewill ac1900 WiFi, but the signal quality is weak. Could anyone recommend a decent yet affordable card in the $80 to $100 range? A good option would be one with extra USB ports or support for DP/Thunderbolt, though not essential. I also needed a device to fit into the PCI-E slot, but an external unit would work fine if it improves performance. Updated May 26, 2020 by Greatestfoe

The router type varies significantly based on the adapter you possess.

I need to verify the model. The WiFi works on the laptop and phone, but it's not great on the PC.

It seems unnecessary to propose an adapter without understanding your router's specifications.

The card itself isn't important. The antennas are key. All PCIe WiFi cards are now M2 PCIe cards with antenna connectors. You might want to use longer cables and adjust the antenna position.

Only Wireless N is available. Avoid buying an AC adapter—opt for devices like the Asus PCE-AC55BT which support both BT and WiFi.

Apologies for the delayed response; thank you for your input. Should I consider purchasing a budget Intel WiFi/Bluetooth card and upgrading the router? I’m unsure if my current setup is adequate, though it appears to be decent. It seems like the device should support AC wireless.

You'd still require a power converter to achieve optimal results from an AC router...
