I'm increasing my video editing workload and looking for a smoother experience. I currently have two 16GB RAM sticks, totaling 32GB (G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB, 2 x 16GB DDR4-3600 PC4-28800 CL16 Dual Channel). I'm wondering if it's better to purchase identical sticks and install them in the open DIM slots or invest in two 32GB units. The price would be around $112 versus about $175 based on what I've seen. Many forum discussions suggest the dual 32GB configuration might offer more stability. Thanks for your help, newbie!

It's usually better to choose a matching set instead of adding another pair that might not fit the first one, even if they're the same model. It's essentially a risk—it could work, but swapping both sticks with another set is the only sure way.
