I thought about stealing Windows 10 a while back, but now I’m stuck. My PC shows no expiry date in the settings, so I considered buying cheap Windows keys from eBay. A friend had used one before and it worked. But halfway through the night I got an email saying my key was taken from eBay. It was odd since the listing had positive reviews and sold many copies. Now I’m confused—should I activate it on my own system? (Honestly, I’m realizing I made a mistake.)

I noticed the confusion in your initial message. You mentioned having a Windows 10 64-bit ISO from Microsoft but also downloading a program that activated it without purchasing a license. Let me clarify the situation for you.

From what I understand, using a product key usually either turns Windows on or leaves it off without any problems. It seems the seller probably got rid of them—maybe because they’re reselling keys or the source wasn’t fully trustworthy. I’d give it a try; if it works, great, otherwise check Amazon for a similar option, which is a bit pricier but I haven’t had any issues before.

Nothing to lose if it doesn't work, just switch to a different key

Ebay deletes listings that breach their policies. They don’t permit selling digital items like apps, operating systems, or virtual currencies. It’s acceptable if the file resides on a functional hard drive or in a sealed container.
