Consider a new motherboard to enhance your system's performance and capabilities.
I have a Ryzen 7 2700 and an MSI B450 TOMAHAWK motherboard running MSI GSE Lite BIOS. I’m considering switching to an X470 or X570 board because I don’t like the current setup. My main goals are: 1) The board needs to be solid for overclocking, with a 360mm AIO cooler for the Ryzen 7 2700. 2) It should have excellent VRM and power delivery to support that overclock. 3) It must accommodate at least six SATA drives and one SATA SSD—my enthusiast model supports more than seven drives, but I’m budget-conscious and want value. My RAM is 16GB DDR4 3000 MHz with an XMP profile. I’m looking for a balance between performance and cost.
I suggest considering the X470 based on your needs. It offers a balance of performance and practicality, making it suitable for various driving styles.
Keep your choices flexible just in case budget limits prevent a costly X570 upgrade route.
