Hi there! I’m planning to assemble a new PC without spending much money. I need a motherboard with at least one M.2 slot for quicker data transfer. I already own: a case (Antec 900), power supply (Cooler Master RS-750ACAA-A1), CPU cooler (Arctic Freezer 7X CO), a graphics card (AMD FirePro V4900), and I’m considering the Gigabyte H410M S2H. This is what I’m looking for: a Gigabyte motherboard (Amazon link available).

I might add an M.2 SSD from Hynix P31. RAM is important, but most options are pricey. I’d aim for at least 8GB of DDR4 memory, preferably in a dual 4GB stick setup. My current setup is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 and two 2GB SLI RAM sticks. My monitor is a BENQ FP91G+.

Personally, I’m not as into gaming as my brother, but I want something more modern. I play Minecraft Bedrock and just got Java Edition this holiday. If anyone has any used or old parts to donate, it would really help. Feel free to reply with suggestions or donations! Thanks!

You'd need a 10th generation processor to fit in that socket. It might be worth rethinking your budget if you're concerned about cost. The CPU and motherboard details in my guide could be very useful.

Currently, AMD is a solid choice. It offers more cores and threads than Intel, which can help with video editing. Also, the b550 and X570 models support PCI-E 4, allowing for quick SSD performance.
