I’d prefer buying the 3950x around Christmas, but I don’t have the funds for the RAM needed to go with it. Should I opt for the 3900x instead, or hold off until next month to get the RAM with the 3950x?
Is it really necessary for every system? Mostly gaming seems to be the main use, right? With your i7 8700K, you should be fine.
