I’m trying to understand the manual for my first PC setup. I connected the ATX 24-pin, but there are extra power connectors on top that I haven’t seen before. I’m not sure if these are necessary or optional. The instructions seem unclear and confusing to me.

These are the CPU power connectors! EPS 12v. Just plug in an 8-pin if your board has more than one 8-pin connector. One 8-pin provides about 336 watts, while the remaining pins offer extra capacity for overclocking.

The manual mentions both connectors need to be connected, but it’s unclear if only one is required. It’s safer to ensure both are plugged in for proper operation.

Avoid confusing your PCIe GPU cables with the EPS 12, as they appear alike. Even if the board suggests connecting both, you can connect them without needing to. Would you like me to add you to the Discord channel for a quick chat or call?

I’ve got the cables marked clearly, so I can be sure they’re not for my GPU. Thanks for explaining—it’s surprising how often this gets overlooked in guides I’ve seen online.

Sure! Just install a single 1x8 pin EPS 12V connector in the upper left area of the motherboard and it should work perfectly.
